Suburb of Melbourne (Day 5 and Day 6)

Day 5 : Mornington Beach - Belgrave (Puffing Billy) - Croydon

We had microwaved pizza for breakfast and depart early at 7am
Headed to Mornington Peninsula Beach for their colourful bathing boxes
Mount Martha Beach North (Iconic Bathing Boxes)
These iconic bathing boxes are the peninsula's symbol of summer
Unfortunately we arrived during winter
There was hardly anyone on a freezing cold morning
Lunch @ Sushi Express
1688 Burwood Hwy, Belgrave VIC 3160

PUFFING BILLY RAILWAY in Dandenong ranges near Melbourne
Easy to get there by metro train in less than an hour
We chose to drive there and finding a parking space was difficult
Nonetheless we made it and parked our car safely

We had lunch before boarding the train from Belgrave to Lakeside
That will be the longest available journey during winter
We booked the tickets from its official website
It costs us AUD57 for return tickets per pax
Limited rides during winter season so remember to book early!
And REMEMBER to bring jacket/sweater during winter~~
Seriously, it was a little cold !><
Here comes the train! Choo Choo!
Finally, i got a chance to take the steam train.
One of the pitstop
The journey on Puffing Billy was extremely wonderful and nostalgic with beautiful scenery along the way.

It was very relaxing while enjoying the breeze with our legs hanging outside, waving at strangers and they waved back to us, and hearing the train whistle. This train originally runs through the southern foothills to transport wood and now it becomes one of the most popular steam railways in the world.
 Lake side maple leaf corner
And boy claimed that they sell the best latte in the world
It was 4pm when we leave the place
We continue to drive to Croydon
To celebrate my birthday, he booked the entire restaurant
Dinner @ Yen's Restaurant (Acceptable chinese crusine)
Took a stroll at their local supermarket - Woolworths

Day 6 : Yarra Valley Wineries - Healesville Zoo

Rochford Wines Yarra Valley
Yarra Valley is less than an hour's drive from the CBD
The cellar doors of the region's famous wineries are open every weekend
Since we both don't drink wine, we were there to enjoy lush greeneries,
far horizons, rolling green hills, swaying vineyards and old farmhouses

Healesvile Sanctuary Zoo located at Healesville in rural Victoria, Australia
Housing many Australien native wildlife, set in a natural bushland environment
Showcasing wallabies, wombats, dingoes, kangaroos, and over 200 native bird varieties

Healesville Sanctuary
Badger Creek Road, Healesville, Victoria 3777, Australia
Daily, 9AM - 5PM

I'd definitely recommend arriving early and packing a picnic lunch as we didn't get much food options in the park itself. It is difficult to get to the zoo unless you have your own transport or book a tour. It takes approximately 1.5 hours to get there from Melbourne on a car. Parking is free.
Here's the map
The only difference was you have to pay extra to have "up close" time with one particular species of wildlife, whereby you'll get to pet and feed them while learning more about their habitat from the rangers there. Each animal comes with different prices and timings.
And here you cannot come into contact with any of their Koala
Panda spotted on the tree on its own
Hello there! Looking pretty handsome
What a lazy roo in the afternoon
The Spirits of the Sky show
highly recommend, is absolutely fantastic

They also have “Tales from Platypus Creek” (platypus show)
Which we missed that day

TarraWarra Estate Restaurant & Cellar Door
To celebrate the end of our road trip
We had teatime at their restaurant
And had their cheese with cookies
The building itself is architectually stunning and photographs beautifully
I promise a dining experience like this will quickly warm your heart in the winter
My model of the day

We drove back to Melbourne and return our rental car
Took a Skybus to the city and board a tram to our airbnb
Our airbnb located on Collins Street and it was very accessible
Then soon as we dropped our baggages
We head down to Chinatown to have dinner
Dinner @ Yoyogi, ramen and yakiniku-don
They served large portion but the food was not as good as we thought it would be
Then we went to shop at Target Centre before heading back airbnb

Catch us next time for more food and shopping experiences in Melbourne city.
