The Month Of Valentines + Pulau Kukup, Johor

Let's just hover over sad stories
To the land of happiness

This month the first part really break my heart
As I was lonely and worse I had to face people I dislike
On Valentine's night I was pleased to have him home again
And Swensen was over-whelmed with love birds
It was a satisfactory meal and he looked tired from long journey

The second half month was better
We went for a trip to Johor
A fishing village which I thought would be wooden house
It ended up we stay at bungalow (concrete ones)

However it is clean and fully air conditioned
In the evening we had a stroll to the Red Forest by boat

Proclaimed to be one of the well reserved forest
The fees for entry is beyond my expectation
But luckily it was included in the package
An adult entry cost rm20, children rm 10 each

The only attraction was the observation tower
Located at the very end of the 600m walkway
Climbing up to 6 floors high above ground
Gave us a "HD" greenery forest view
No words can describe the beauty nature

The night was filled with drunkard and gambler
But we ignored the hussle bustle and escaped to watch fireworks
That was the first time we bought fireworks

Our first time to set up fireworks
It costs us RM 200+ for a brief moment
It was fantastic and we enjoyed ourselves so much
As it brighten up the skies for a minute plus

That was the most awesome experience
Together with Kong Ming Deng released that night
And we watched it flew up high

Chap Goh Meh dinner at Nandos was fantastic

And we watched Beautiful Creature

An American romantic fantasy movie

Which was censored whenever they kiss

I felt that I had to watch it all over again 

Of course not in Malaysia anymore haha

Pizza Hut in Singapore Tampines Mall dinner
It was a stomach jamming session
We ordered Stuffed Crust Pizza
And the cheese on the pan smelt salty
Tasted very salty but not up to my expectation

NEX mall tong shui shop on high floors
Don't ask me which floor haha
The ice flakes with durian was a thumb up
White fungus jelly tong shui was good as well

Sometimes early in the morning and late at night
You can enjoy breakfast at McD or midnight supper
Morning breakfast has bacon, muffins, scrambled egg and pancakes

Midnight you can have coffee at Mc Cafe
And of course the cute little honey drummet

Ending the month of February with 28 days
And my Blackshot reached its target to Major rank
I am very much satisfied with this month's achievement

Reunion Dinner

This is the first time after so many years
About 10 years plus we didn't get along
And dine together already
My uncle and auntie came back from USA
And 16 of us dining on the same round table

Although the food doesn't really taste good
It costs us rm450 plus plus with bad service
We still enjoy the gathering to celebrate a new year
I am glad to be able to make it back home
And a few relaxing day at home without disturbance
Thank God haha

January's Treat

January started off with a bang

As I usually cook spagetti bolognese

Just before we go shopping or movies

As you can see it has excessive amount of tomatoes

Which I love so much

Our New Year's dinner nothing special

Nonetheless we went for Nandos

And I tried the Hot Peri Peri for the first time

It wasn't that spicy and tasted great

With the bottomless soft drinks

Everything was perfect

Sakai sushi meal was to celebrate 

The day I finally obtain my working pass

Officially I am a legal employee here

 Salmon bowl and the fish eggs was awesome

This is the bowl of Curry Don 

I can say it is beyond expectation

We then board a cab to East Coast 

A famous seafood restaurant there 

With the title "Jumbo" in chinese 珍宝

Located near the sea where it is attractive

Ideal for dinners and not lunch I suppose

The breeze blew touching my face

And it calms me a lot

First of all the appertiser soup
With pork, carrot and some herbs

Taukua fried with chicken floss
Just okay cause I don't really like taukua

Fried Pai Kut (pork ribs) with some honey and chicken floss
Tasted quite sweet and boney

 The fried steam gigantic fish with some apple and mango toppings

A very huge crabs in chilli+tomato sauces
The top part were juicy filled with eggs (cholestrol)

The sauce can be eaten with the fried bun
Which taste exactly like the one I ate at home

It seemed that the prawn were submerged 

Under the oats which I think was lousy

Overcharged and expensive for that little prawns

Little Penang located at Tampines Century Square

 I ordered Penang Hokkien Mee
Which is typically the prawn noodles
It tasted 85% like the one at hawker stall
In penang but the price differs a lot

The deep fry chicken plus apple slices
Tasted nice however do not have Penang's taste

The grilled stingray which was small and overcharged

I like the curry or you can call it gravy on top of it

It was a little spicy though and I struggle through haha

Aston Western Food Corner

Fish chips with 2 side dishes
Rice and cheese macaronies
Best suit the day

Deep fry chicken with potatoes

Wedges and also the original potato

Look at the butter!!!!!!

Almost melt my heart haha

Feast in December

Seoul Garden Dinner buffet dinner

$23.99 per adult on weekdays 

Which is reasonable for a great eater like me

 Basically the soup is in the middle of the hot plate
We chose tomyam soup base to spice up the night

 The uncooked meat which is Halal

 Cooked prawn laying in red

Fish&Co. Seafood in a pan

Grilled White Fish with Coriander Sauce

 Green face de upon the arrival of Coriander Sauce fish

Fiery Peri-Peri Chicken Pizza

                                       

The leftover of pizza cause it was too hard to even chew

I wouldn't come back anymore for it

Swiss Fish and Chips

Stuffed fillet with gruyere cheese

Coupled with some light crispy batter

But this time round topped with our garlic lemon butter sauce

The Corner Place Korean BBQ

Located at Marina Square
Right at the corner of the 4th floor

Variety of meat for carnivorous eater
Bacon is nice and ample in quantity

Viennetta Ice Cream Tiramisu flavour
It is nice and tasty served at home
Looks like christmas log though
With a little alcohol inside it
Taste really original tiramisu

Free flow of fresh greens but the drinks will be charged separately

LegoLand Johor Bahru and Panda Kai Kai and Jia Jia Visit, Singapore Zoo

Due to rainy seasons during end of the year
Many outings were delayed and stranded
However, it has granted a good experience too

The sky turned gray at noon contrary to its nature

Rain started tapping on the roof playing some sort of musical show
First few drops and then there came a downpour
The first drop weren't drops but a deluge of cascading water
As if the sky was an open faucet as the rain falls in oversized droplets

When one hits a solid surface, it splashes, bouncing off and breaking apart
Into smaller beads which then succumb to gravity heading towards the soil
Right underneath you...
The rain lasted only a few minutes but the sound
The sound of rain hitting the roof was pure heaven
The sun was seen hidden behind ashen clouds looming on thee horizon
Above the inner-city buildings, creeping into what would be suburbia

As it stopped, I walked out and there was moisture in the air
The smell was instantly reminiscent of any morning
Back in the states after a night time deluge
The ground was wet, the air was cool and crisp like fall
For a moment I simply stood there
Breathed in the smell of something other than dirty, dusty air
As crowds busy moving in and out of the shop entrance
I moved towards the gate awaiting departure back to Singapore

The whole experience ranging from lining up for tickets
Till the line of hundred people at the entrance
It took us about 1.5 hours long but worth waiting
The food there was costly as they seemed to overcharge us
However once in a blue moon that I don't really bother

We only managed to visit 3 parks out of 7 parks
The Beginning, Legocity and Miniland parks
We will pay another visit maybe March 2013
For a complete tour around Legoland
Hoping no more soaked pig feet for him :D

The next day Panda Visit was awesome
5 years old male panda Kai Kai (victorious)
4 years old female panda Jia Jia (beauty)
Made their public debut in Singapore for the first time
Singapore devoted millions of dollars to a climate-controlled enclosure
Designed to promote breeding in the island's humid tropical climate
Personally I felt cold inside cause I don't have much hair like panda?

They are selling Panda Pau at the price of $2.90 per piece
And the price of bundle of 4 at $11.50 with inner tau sah ingredient

We hopped onto the moving tram several times and were taken on tour
And had our buffet lunch at a luxurious dining restaurant

It were under dim light much like a candle light dinner
He and I ate quite generously as we were starved due to the rainy season
As the rain stopped we headed to board taxi and continued shopping

Now the rains seemed to pass and the winds are calmed lately
I waited patiently for their return but until then I'll probably be doing something
Even if it snows I will be thanking God for granting such an impossible weather

Family Day

It's an unplanned holiday to Johor Bahru

If we know earlier we would have gotten ourselves free on this friday

However that doesn't really matters 

As I'm able to fetch them from the terminal

It shall be alright and everything will go on as usual

LegoLand is the place we are waiting anxiously to pay a visit

I haven't gone through the park details yet 

Going in a family shall be more fun than going with friends

I'd never experienced something last this since 15 years ago

That should be a great trip aboard ^_^

Looking forward for it and pray that everything goes on smoothly
